Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers Endorses Molchany in 22nd Legislative District
Pittsburgh– Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers publicly released today their endorsement of Erin Molchany in the April 24th Democratic Primary for the 22nd Legislative District.
“We are proud to endorse Erin Molchany,” said Nina Esposito-Visigitis, President of Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers. “The choice is clear in this race. Erin will stand up to invest in our children and teachers again. Her opponent said he could not promise to fight against vouchers, a massive part of Governor Corbett assault on public education.”
Molchany is proud to have the support of teachers throughout her district and another endorsement from labor.
“We must stop Governor Corbett’s unnecessary cuts to education and invest in our children again,” Molchany said. “Education is about the economy, about jobs. We must give teachers and schools the resources they need. We must stand up for good teachers. Because good teachers bring our children great education. And that makes us competitive in the 21st Century.”
Erin Molchany is running for the full two-year term as a Democrat in the April 24th Primary in Pennsylvania’s 22nd State House District. Molchany is also endorsed by Ironworkers Local 3, Equality PA, Progress Pittsburgh PAC, Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania PAC, Steel-City Stonewall Democrats, Gertrude Stein Political Club of Greater Pittsburgh, Democracy for Pittsburgh, Councilman Bruce Kraus and Councilwoman Natalia Rudiak.
